MAKEUP SALE!

OMG, I haven't been on this blog in a LONG TIME! I want to get back on it, but I never get the time. And when i do have free time, I either go out and don't have time to take pictures or whatever.

UPDATE! I graduated this May with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting. Very exciting, but i started the job search late into the summer, so now I am struggling to find an accounting job ASAP! If you know of any company that is hiring new grads, let me know!

Back to what I got on this blog for, I am having a mini makeup sale! Ever since I moved out of my apartment at the end of May, I have BARELY touched my makeup. Lately, I have just been wearing Rimmel Kohl Liner and Cover Girl's Lash Blast mascara. A couple of days ago, I went through some of my new or lightly used makeup, and I decided that it was time to find them a better home!

As of right now, I will only be taking orders in the US (sorry, can't afford expensive shipping right now).

You must have a paypal account to order. Payment is required within 72 hours of invoice, or else I will move on to the next buyer. First come, first serve. Insurance is extra, let me know if you are interested in that option. No returns or exchanges at this time. Please email me at annaxignacio@yahoo.com if you would like to order.

Lushed Out!

I am semi-active on the lush forum on lushusa.com and there is a section where people post what Lush products they have used for the day. I used 4 different Lush products today!

Aqua Marina Cleanser

Brazened Honey Face Mask

Ultimate Shine Shampoo Bar

Honey I Washed the Kids Soap

I used Aqua Marina and rinsed my face. Then used Brazened Honey (with a few drops of water to make it easier to apply) to my face and left it on for about 5 minutes. Then I jumped into the shower and ran Ultimate Shine through my hair a couple times and it made a really good lather (word on the street is that it lasts about 60-80 washes, and I think it's true!). Then I used Honey I Washed the Kids soap. Oh my goodness, I love this soap. I will try to eventually review all the Lush products I own, even though as of right now, it seems like this is a Lush blog and not a makeup blog!

I heart Lush!

Lush Review: Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser

This is the cleanser that I've been using for the past couple of days. I just bought this last Saturday and I've used it about every other day since then. I really like it! When I was contemplating on buying it at Lush, the sales guy said that the lavender flowers would be the thing that does the exfoliating. I knew it wasn't that. (well, who knows if it helps, but I don't think so!) I used to used St. Ives Apricot scrub, but it is a little too harsh to be used on the face. I read somewhere that it would be better to be used a an all over body scrub because it's very inexpensive. Well, moving on, let me get on to the review:

Things I like:
- it exfoliates
-the ground almonds aren't harsh at all
-it easily mixes to a paste with water
-it leaves my skin feeling so soft!

Things I don't like:
-the smell. I don't HATE it, but I'm not too fond of it.
-that the shelf life is around 6 months. I'm pretty sure if I use it regularly, I'll use it in that time though.

How I use it:
First, I wet my face with warm water, then I put a piece of Angels on Bare Skin in the palm of my hand (the size of a marble?). I add a tiny bit of warm water and smash it with my finger to mix it, and apply it to my face, exfoliating my skin as I go. Then I rinse my face with warm water! Viola! Done!

Overall, I really really like this face cleanser. It's fairly easy to use and leaves my skin feeling really soft. I don't really like the smell, but it's not like it lingers on my face after rinsing, so the smell doesn't really make a difference. It's a really gentle exfoliating cleanser and I alternate between using this cleanser and my other Lush cleanser, Aqua Marina (review coming soon!)

BAD weather!

I don't like the rain when I actually have to walk in it! I only appreciate the rain when I am warm and dry inside the house. Thank goodness I brought my giant umbrella to school! My clothes stayed dry but shoes and socks were soaked, boo. Here is a shot of the weather as I crossed the street from school to Starbucks.
(This picture was taken around 3:30 pm when it wasn't raining much. Now it's POURING!)

I think this weather makes me want to just go home and sleep all day. I wouldn't want to worry about makeup or anything. And it doesn't help that I started school at 9am.

Anyways, I can't wait to start posting more and more and building my blog back up again. It'll make me want to do more creative makeup looks =) Stay tuned for more!

Lush Birthday Bash Haul!

My latest obsession is Lush. Who hasn't heard of it by now?! On Saturday, my lush had its 1st birthday and a celebration to go with it. The first 200 people to RSVP got a free Happy Birthday bubble bar (yes, I was among the 200) and also goody bags to those that spent over $50 (though the forum said $40 gets a goody bag -_-) Anyways, I ended up getting a couple items.
(Clockwise from Top Left: Turbo bubble bar, Comforter bubble bar, Angels on bare skin cleanser, Godmother soap, Aqua marina cleanser, Jungle Conditioner, Happy Birthday bubble bar. (not pictured: Miranda)

Jungle conditioner
Aqua Marina face cleanser
Angels on Bare Skin face cleanser
Comforter bubble bar
Godmother soap (for my boyfriend's sister)

+stuff in the goody bag:
Miranda soap (retro!)
Turbo bubble bar (retro!)
Honey Trap

It was a really cool event. There were trivia questions every 20 minutes or so, right answers got a free full sized product. there were tons of sales associates to assist people in choosing products. There was a guy that helped my friend and me with product information and suggestions he had. He was really nice and really helpful. This was my first Lush event and I would love to go to more!

Reviews are definitely on the way =)

Legally Bronze

I just went to Sephora and picked up a benefit set called "Legally Bronze". It was only $35!

Here is what Sephora.com says about it:

Legally Bronze ($105 Value) What it is: A kit containing all the products needed to create a gorgeous bronzed look. What it does: Bronzed & beautiful? Gild-y as charged! This mini-makeover kit has everything you need to look bronzed to perfection.
This set contains:
- 0.4 oz Hoola
- 0.45 oz High Beam
- 0.08 oz Gilded - 0.19 oz -BADgal Brown

My friend has the Hoola bronzer and she let me try it out. I like it, it's not too dark and it gives me just the right amount of contour. I've tried BADgal Black mascara and LOVE it. And I plan on using the Gilded pencil on my waterline, ooh lala. High beam is actually going to my friend, who has been wanting it for the longest time! I have Moon Beam already and didn't need another highlighter-type product.

This deal is too good to pass up! $105 worth of products for only $35, WOWZA! Get it fast because I got the last one and I went to a bunch of Sephora stores before I actually got my hands on this one! Woohoo =)/p>
